The Sacajawea Heritage Community Garden serves as an outdoor classroom specializing in "hands-on" education. Each year we offer gardening classes and workshops taught by local experts. Interpretive signs and “talks” are given about the “Heritage” varieties that are planted in the garden. Volunteer work parties teach numerous methods for caring for and enhancing a garden.
The garden produces large quantities of fresh, nutritious organically grown produce. This bounty is available for sale to the community on a U-Pick basis during the season for very reasonable prices.
If you would like to become a part of this enriching garden experience join us for one of our programs this season, purchase some locally grown organic produce and volunteer some of your time toward keeping it going.
