School of Discovery classes begin the 2010 season on June 8th at the Sacajawea Center.  Classes include a wide variety of skills both interesting and practical in today’s modern world.

Finger weaving, making arrows, gourd crafts and hide tanning are all being offered this season, as well as the popular 1805 Primitive Living Experience, where participants live on site for a 10 day period, just like our ancestors would have done in 1805.

Kids programs are designed with a special emphasis on quality instruction that will ensure your child has an exceptional educational experience and gains skill proficiency while having a great time!  A special Challenge Course day will mix fun and excitement with intense thinking and cooperative skills as the kids work through challenges presented through games and activities on our low ropes course!

The Skills Intensive Program returns this year.  This will be the second of a four year progressive education program that is designed to teach children 9 and older basic outdoor skills.  Adults are welcome.

Adult and Kids classes will be held all day on Saturdays.  There is a $6.00 materials fee for children’s classes this year.  Class size is limited so register early!!
