On Monday, April 4th the Sacajawea Center’s dedicated volunteers will gather to begin our annual docent training. Docents at the Sacajawea Center spend one, 4-hour shift a week in our interpretive center, welcoming visitors to the site, answering questions, and providing local area information. This year training will include guest speakers from the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Idaho Fish and Game, and the Lemhi County Historical Society. We will also be traveling to Lolo, MT to visit one of the few campsite along Lewis and Clark trail that has physical evidence of the Expedition at Traveler’s Rest State Park. Volunteer will meet every Monday afternoon in April from 1-3:30pm at the Learning Center onsite.  If you are interested in joining us for the 2016 season please contact the office at 208.756.1188.
