Park and Trails are open year-round.
The Visitor Interpretive Center is open from Memorial Day weekend through the end of September.
Kids Water Adventure Camp
Grades 1-3 July 16, 17, 18---9:00-12:00
Grades 4-7 July 23, 24, 25---9:00-2:00
Join us for three days of adventure and discovery as we explore streams, puddles and aquatic habitats. Young nature lovers will learn about the many ways in which life on our planet depends on water! Topics will include stream ecology, the hydrologic cycle, aquatic invertebrates and Idaho fish.
Nature Hour
June 13th, July 11th, August 8th---10:00 am– 11:00am
A nature-themed storytime for kids ages 5 and under. Stories, games, crafts and fun! Meet between the Gardens. Nature Hour is a FREE program in collaboration with the Salmon Public Library and will be held the second Thursdays of the month at the Sacajawea Center gardens.
Outdoor Discovery Camp
July 30, July 31 & August 1st---9:00 am-2:00 pm
We’ll spend three fun-filled days learning useful outdoor skills! Topics will include: shelter building, campfire cooking, map reading, wilderness survival skills and GPS treasure hunting! Kids ages 8-12 ~ $15 registration fee
Sacajawea Center is proud to host kid's summer day camps every year. This is a great opportunity to get kids outdoors having fun and learning at the same time.
